Brix Issue High

The nominal brix reading is 13.5 to 14.0. If the brix reading for a barrel is high check for the following:

1. Improperly adjusted syrup or water flow control

2. Low water pressure

3. Syrup leaking thru the flow control banjo

4. Syrup brand changed – LTO or wrong BIB

5. Compare brix at sample tube to brix in barrel.If different, check flow path to barrel.

6. Water solenoid sticking closed or syrup solenoid sticking open
